What is the 11 plus?
The 11 plus is an entrance test used by state-funded grammar schools. It is used to assess:
Your child's progress and potential in core subjects
Whether your child is likely to thrive at grammar school
It is taken in September of Year 6.
How to apply for 11 plus exams in Berkshire
Registrations for the Berkshire 11 plus exam are open online from May to July.
Registrations are now closed for entering Year 7 in 2023.
Registrations for entering Year 7 in 2024 will open in May 2023.
When do 11 plus results come out in Berkshire?
Key dates for the Berkshire 11 plus (this takes place while your child is in Year 6):
17th September 2022: Your child sits the test
Mid October 2022: 11 plus results are posted to you
31st October 2022: Deadline for applying for school places (advised to wait for the 11 plus results before applying)
1st March 2023: You will find out which school has offered your child a place
