There are 12-15 places available for entry into Year 9.
From September – May each yearThe school organises various tours and Open Mornings, details of which can be found on the school website. Parents are advised to book a visit either through their website or by contacting the Admissions Office.

November of Year 7 The school will request a reference from the candidate's current school. Candidates will then be asked to sit the school's Pre-assessments examinations. These are comprised of papers in:
November of Year 7Candidates who perform well in these examinations will be invited back to the school for interview with a senior member of staff. This will include mental maths and a discussion of the candidate's extra-curricular activities.
late November of Year 7 Results from the examinations, interview and Head's report will be considered and offers for places at the school will be sent to parents. Those who have missed the deadlines for the above may apply for an occasional place. These applications must be made by January of Year 8. Candidates will be invited for school examinations in English, maths, science, French/Spanish and an online reasoning test, followed by an interview.
Harrodian offers internal Scholarships and Exhibitions for Harrodians moving into Year 9 from the year below. Scholarships or Exhibitions are awarded based upon outstanding performance in bespoke 13+ Scholarship papers.
Summer term of Year 8Harrodian requires a score of at least 60% in each subject at Common Entrance. Those who have received offers for occasional places will not need to take Common Entrance.
