From September 2021, boys and girls will be able to enter the school in Year 9. There is another entrance opportunity for boys and girls in Year 12.

final deadline – October of Year 6 Parents must request and complete a registration form, as well as pay a non-refundable registration free.
Autumn term of Year 6.All applicants are required to take the ISEB Common Pre-Tests. They will take it at their prep schools and Charterhouse will assess the results alongside a reference from the applicant's head teacher.
January – February of Year 6 Candidates who have performed well will be invited to the school for a 15-minute interview and a group activity session. They will also sit two further assessments in maths and English, set by the school.
mid-February of Year 6 Offers are e-mailed to parents, either offering a place at the school, conditional on Common Entrance results, an offer of a reserve place, or no offer of a place.
Year 8 Candidates are selected to apply for academic scholarships based on their performance in the ISEB Pre-test and subsequent interview and assessments. They will then be set scholarship papers created by CLS to sit at their school in Year 8.
Summer term of Year 8 All offers made by the school are conditional on getting a score of at least 70% in each subject in the 13+ Common Entrance examinations, or the equivalent in the scholarship exams.
